Scope and Content

The “Northern and Other Locations Collection” includes the Northern Photo Collection, an unbound collection of photographs of northern Manitoba and 4 intact albums which include images of Northern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario and other locations.

The photographs portray many aspects of life, particularly among First Nations people. Subject areas include: People, traditional culture and dwellings of Northern Manitoba and Ontario Communities; Church Buildings, Schools, Church Leaders; Transportation, Industry and Development of the North.
