Rev. Neil Kenneth Campbell (1915-2000) was ordained after studying theology in Winnipeg in 1944. He served the United Church in  The Pas, Atlantic Avenue  in Winnipeg, and Knox in Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay). Rev. Campbell then became Superintendent of Home Missions for Manitoba Conference in 1960, and remained in that position until his retirement in June of 1966.

Number of Images in the Fonds: 972 colour slides depicting northern and First Nations communities in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, predominant in the 1960s, including churches, residential schools, homes, ministers, teachers and students and a dramatic production entitled ‘Who Will Go For Us?’ It is probable that slides 832 to 956 were given to Campbell by Ada M. Freeman, an active layperson. She was married to Rev. E.G. Freeman, a prominent United Church minister.

Date Range of Images: 1942 – 1966
